Azure Synapse Link Stuck in Initial Synchronization
Today we have a simple trick for a common error that could save you from a few clicks.
When performing Azure Synapse Link by enabling conversion with Spark, it’s possible that the tables you’ve enabled will remain perpetually in the “Initial synchronization in progress” status.
One solution is to delete the link and recreate it but, what if you’ve marked many tables? Do we have to search for them one by one again?
Fortunately, there’s another much simpler solution.
- Click the button that allows us to mark the tables we want
- Expand the Advanced tab
- Modify the time (in minutes) of the incremental to another value (preferably less than the one we currently have)
- Save the configuration
This will automatically force the initial synchronization process to resume or unlock.
